Adam Traum is an interpreter of traditional roots music and draws on those styles in his songwriting as well. He cross-pollinates Americana genres, blending folk, blues, bluegrass, rockabilly and country-blues music. When Traum performs he brings a warmth to the stage and puts on a well-polished show, whether he is playing as a solo artist at an intimate house concert or for a festival crowd backed by his potent band.
Adam’s influences include Ry Cooder, Taj Mahal, John Hiatt, Steve Earle, Mississippi John Hurt and Rev. Gary Davis, to name a few. Traum gigs and teaches throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. He has two instructional DVD guitar lessons on Homespun Tapes. His CD, "Meant To Be" (2006), celebrates the diversity in his songwriting, which incorporates story-driven songs, humor and catchy guitar riffs. Traum's newest release, "Just Like Home" (2012), is an all-acoustic collection of songs with an intimate feel, paying tribute to his musical heritage. His trio The Mosey Boys have a newly released CD called "One-takes."

Traum and Gilmore
Adam Traum and Colin Gilmore are carrying on their family traditions of playing American roots music and will tour the Northeast in July after two successful 2017 West Coast tours. The two artists have seen music history in the making from the front row and have now become part of that narrative themselves. Together they make a potent duo playing well-written original tunes as well as old favorites they grew up on.
Traum and Gilmore will be sharing the bill on four of their six dates with the duo Pete and Maura Kennedy, who have racked up over a million miles on their touring odometer. Although both Traum and Gilmore have known Pete and Maura Kennedy for years, this if the first time they will be touring together.
Colin Gilmore, son of legendary troubadour Jimmie Dale Gilmore, grew up in Lubbock, Texas and later moved to Austin as a teenager. It was in Austin he was exposed to groundbreaking Alt-Country/Americana artists like Joe Ely, Butch Hancock, and too many more to name. Through this lens he is carving his own path through today's musical landscape. While drawing on the environs that surrounded him growing up he has his own voice and approach to music with an easy-going vocal style, well crafted songs and guitar chops to match.
Gilmore has received critical acclaim for his solo albums. His latest work The Wild And Hollow was named "Best Americana/singer-songwriter album of 2013" by Huffington Post's Mike Ragogna and his album Goodnight Lane received 4-star reviews in Mojo and Uncut. He frequently works with the elder Gilmore and they have an instructional workshop video coming on Homespun Music Instruction this summer.

The Mosey Boys
The Mosey Boys are a musical force to be reckoned with! The Sonoma-based acoustic power trio featuring Adam Traum on guitar and vocals, David Thom on mandolin, vocals and guitar and Jack Hines on bass and vocals, seamlessly cross-pollinates Americana genres featuring bluegrass, country blues, rockabilly and folk styles.
"[Adam Traum's] guitar playing will make you want to learn his guitar licks, and the songs are enjoyable-by turns free-wheeling, sardonic or plaintive, and always offering the release and redemption that keep us coming back to the folk-blues mother lode"
